Qualification programme „DoKuMente“ commences its second phase

Dokumente_logoA comprehensive qualification for volunteers in supporting refugees and EU-migrants is offered by the programme „DoKuMente“. In January, the second phase will commence. At an informational evening on Monday, 28th of November 2016, from 18:00 at Reinoldinum, Schwanenwall 34, in Dortmund, IBB e.V. presents the seminar programme and will answer all questions.

„DoKuMente“ is aimed at people of all ages, who can spend at least two hours each week for volunteer work. The future Intercultural mentors in Dortmund should be able to support newly arrived refugees and working migrants in the everyday lives: Support in administrative matters, in searching for a job or an apartment, in leisure activities, and questions regarding education and further training.

For immigrants much has changed and much is new in Germany. Especially after the first euphoria of arrival, soon a phase of disillusionment follows. Especially in the first year of their stay with a perspective to stay, stable social networks are important.

The project „DoKuMente – Dortmund intercultural mentors“ conveys background knowledge and creates networks between institutions and volunteers. Through evening seminars and compact seminars on three Saturdays, the further education programme is also suitable for those employed.

The qualification programme „DoKuMente“ is supported by the Federal Ministry of the Interior. Participation is free of charge.

Please register your participation in the informational evening until the 24th of November 2016 at IBB e.V. via telephone 0049-231-952096-0 or via email at info@ibb-d.de.
