Apply now and take part in the German-Turkish youth exchange Dortmund-Muğla

2016_06_24_Mulga in Dortmund_PlenumWhere are young people volunteering in Dortmund? What is their incentive for working in sports associations, environmental groups, the voluntary fire brigade or in social projects? And what is this like in Turkey?Youths from Dortmund and the Turkish city of Muğla will together explore these questions during two youth encounters in August and October of 2016 as part of the youth network Dortmund-Muğla.

The new, fourth round „Be active 4 Mudo“ at the youth network starts with Turkish youths visiting Dortmund from the 2nd to the 9th of August 2016. They will live in shared accommodation at the Jugendgästehaus in Dortmund, and visit charitable projects in the Ruhr area. They will gather information on their tasks, organising principles, and finances, but specifically ask young people for their motives and experiences. The excursions and talks are part of a versatile leisure programme, which will even surprise the youths from the hosting region. In October, the youths from Dortmund will then visit Turkey. There, youths are active in the local youth centre, for example.

Meet_at_MUDO_08These youth encounters are supported by Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe with funds from the Children and Youth plan.
