Important security notice: Fake emails in circulation

Fraudulent emails (known as email spoofing or phishing) are currently being sent that appear to come directly from us (ibb-d.de). Unauthorised third parties are misusing our domain as the sender address.

Please note the following information for your own safety: We take the protection of your data and our IT security very seriously. According to the latest checks, our internal systems and servers have not been compromised; this is purely a case of our name being misused by external parties. We have already reported the matter to the relevant investigating authorities.

  • Do not open any links or attachments: If you have received an unsolicited or suspicious email (e.g. containing unexpected payment requests, reminders or links for data verification), please do not click on any links or open any file attachments.
  • Check the sender address carefully: The actual reply-to address (in the email header) often differs from the sender address displayed.
  • If in doubt, ask: If you are unsure whether a message is genuine, please contact us in advance via our known, established communication channels (e.g. by telephone). Do not use the reply function in the suspicious email for this purpose.

Thank you for your vigilance and understanding.

Your IBB Team

The IBB

The IBB was originally founded as an association springing from an initiative by the unemployed in Dortmund. Today about 120 employees work in permanent positions at its branches:

We are supported by freelance workers and members and a great number of trustees bring their expertise to our work. In Dortmund alone our programme contains up to 100 seminars and training opportunities each year. Projects of different sizes augment this: Between 2002 and 2014 the Belarus support programme facilitated 175 German-Belarusian partnership projects, supported from Dortmund. The European action weeks „For a future after Fukushima and Chernobyl“ in 2013 were joined by several thousand people in about 150 cities. In total, we are in contact with partners in 16 European countries.
